What a prepaid funeral is
What is a prepaid funeral? One contract, decided once.
A prepaid funeral is a written contract with a funeral home you name, for the funeral you choose, paid in advance at a price locked the day you sign. From that day it simply waits — in force — until it's needed. What's covered is itemised; anything outside the contract is payable at the time.

Can you prepay for a funeral?
Yes — that is what a prepaid funeral plan is. You agree the services with a participating funeral home, receive the price and terms in writing, and pay in advance — in full, or with a 30% deposit and interest-free instalments for eligible plans.
What happens if I move or die interstate?
Ask Guardian Plan to check transfer to a participating funeral home near the new address — arrangements are confirmed in writing before anything changes, and conditions and fees may apply. The plan does not simply lapse because you moved.
Do I need to pass any health checks?
No. There are no medical questions at any stage. Eligibility doesn’t depend on your health, and the price depends only on the services you choose.
